About AGR Subsea

AGR Subsea Ltd specialise in excavation and trenching solutions. We deliver low-cost, low-risk seabed intervention for a huge range of applications.

SeaVator® Mass Flow Excavator

SeaVator® represents AGR's pipeline trenching and seabed excavation technology for a wide range of underwater applications. The system offers high performance hydrodynamic excavation and is fully self contained with a purpose designed launch and recovery unit. SeaVator® uses the proven mass flow excavation principle to drive a broad column of water towards the seabed, dispersing loose cover and soft clays and does not make physical contact with the seabed or the assets being excavated. SeaVator® provides the safest seabed intervention methods available to gain access for inspection, repair or decommissioning.

V-Jet High Pressure Jetting System

AGR Subsea Ltd owns and operates a series of V-Jet trench profiling and excavation systems. These are designed for use with the SeaVator® hydrodynamic excavator and a variety of orientations improve trenching speed and excavation performance in cohesive and compacted soils as high-pressure water cuts through clays and gets your pipeline to depth quickly and efficiently. The system is powered by diesel pumps on the back of the vessel or, for deeper water, by electric submersible pumps. These are controlled at the surface by reliable, variable frequency drives for extremely precise control of power.

ClayCutter X®

The ClayCutter X® enables pipelines to be installed in areas where seabed irregularities and excessive slope breaks may previously have rendered installation impossible. AGR's ClayCutter® is ushering in a new era of seabed intervention in which direct routes can be planned to save miles of line pipe and millions of tonnes of rock dump. Deployed from vessels of opportunity, ClayCutter X® is capable of continuous pre-trenching in even the most challenging and variable soils.

  • High pressure jetting for tough soils.
  • Cuts clays of stiffnes up to 500 kPa shear strength in any water depth.
  • Can be deployed with drill string for deep water, or winch and hoses for shallow water.
  • Three dedicated 3,000hp pumps offer effortless power delivery.
  • Pipeline route preparation made easy.

High-Pressure Pumps

AGR's high-pressure multi-stage centrifugal pumps each pack 3,000 hp into a thirty foot container making them the most powerful transportable pumps in the world. These marine diesel driven units can be used individually or efficiently in parallel to power our trenching tools or for other applications such as seawater injection and flushing.

Pumped Excavation

AGR Subsea Ltd offers a full range of Pumped Excavation units, suitable for everything from simple dredging jobs to complex soil removal around buried manifolds and piles. Pumps come in a range of sizes, powered by diesel pumps or submersible electric motors, with or without sonar, crane or ROV deployed.
